We have an exciting opportunity for a Fleet Engineering Manager to join our Engineering Team at our HQ office in London, Stratford.

The Role

The role is the technical lead for GA for the introduction and integration of new rolling stock to within Greater Anglia. This includes oversight and responsibility for Fleet Safety,  Reliability, Design Acceptance, Performance Improvement, Assurance and Standards

In this role you will work closely with the suppliers' MSA and TSA organisations, the relevant ROSCOs, and GA internal departments to provide engineering change assurance, maximise performance and ensure unit functionality.

The applicant should understand data analysis techniques and be able to demonstrate how they have used data to define solutions to problems. They should be able to present data to different audiences in order to explain and justify decision making.

What we are looking for

The applicant should have an engineering qualification to degree level and ideally be chartered or be working towards chartered status. A CV of relevant railway experience may be considered for a suitable exceptional candidate.

You will have a good working knowledge of the rail industry sector, understanding the current industry challenges and be able to translate these challenges and ongoing industry developments into actions to be taken for the GA fleets.

The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills with the confidence to influence all  stakeholders and external bodies. Working with Train Maintenance Providers can be challenging, and the successful applicant should be able to demonstrate success from collaborative working in similar relationships.
