Abellio London Bus operates bus services across London on behalf of TfL, plus rail replacement and event services across the UK. We operate over nine per cent of the London’s bus network, running 800 vehicles and employing around 2,700 employees across six depots in Central, South and West London. We carry over 150 million passengers a year on TfL’s contracted bus network.

 Duties include:

  • To download all requested footage in a timely and efficient timescale – this may include out of hours or weekend cover due to a major incident or as required by the business
  • Maintain accurate records of all requests made including the outcome as to whether or not CCTV was downloaded. 
  • Present all evidence for internal investigations and insurance claims in the required format as requested by the person investigating the incident.
  • Provide a written summary of the events recorded in the CCTV footage and, where requested, an indicative view of where responsibility for this incident lies
  • Undertake a first line investigation into an incident recorded by CCTV footage which could include interviewing the relevant employee and recording notes
  • To maintain a high level of confidentiality and ensure compliance with current legislation such as GDPR.
  • Auditing and where appropriate report faults with all CCTV equipment.

The candidate:

  • The ability to undertake shift work on a rotating pattern
  • Strong IT skills and ability to analyse and interpret information.
  • Able to communicate effectively with all levels of internal and external staff and to provide clear and concise evidence.
  • Must have a flexible approach and be prepared to work outside normal hours to meet deadlines.
  • Outstanding organisational skills and an ability to respond to changes in priorities in case of emergency.
  • A willingness to attend other locations including potential crime scenes to assist in the immediate download of footage as required.
