Duties Include:

• To provide guidance and support to TOC control teams, to ensure that all emergency taxi requests are run safely & efficiently and are responsive to all customer needs.
• Ensure that safe working practises are adhered to by taxi operators.
• Ensure that all information relating to all safety related incidents or accidents involving taxis is collated in a timely fashion.
• Ensuring all relevant information is captured at the time to support the formal investigations process.
• Monitor and manage the performance of Taxi Control staff. 
• Give guidance where required and challenge staff when required. 
• Carry out regular performance reviews to ensure high standards are maintained.
• Manage resource levels within the Control to ensure adequate shift coverage, overtime coverage & enhanced staffing levels when required.

The Candidate:

• An individual who can develop effective working relationships with suppliers & colleagues
• Can handle high pressure situations in a calm & logical manner
• Able to communicate effectively both written & oral
• Desirable if applicants can demonstrate previous experience administering logistics or passenger transport.
• Demonstrates leadership qualities and good negotiation skills
• Able to coach staff and manage teams
• Flexibility with shift working on a rota basis covering early, late and night shift patterns
