We have an excellent opportunity within our Customer Service Team at Tottenham Hale Station for a Platform Supervisor.

The Role

The focus of the role is to always provide a safe environment whilst delivering excellent customer service and seeking opportunities to enhance the customers experience at the station. You need to ensure customers are extended a warm welcome to the station, by providing pro-active assistance and information to customers on and off trains and throughout the station.

You are responsible for leading the platform team in all matters regarding safety, security, and safe punctual dispatch of trains, whilst working in accordance with the rule book and operational standards. You are also responsible for maintaining security of the station premises and carrying out winter precautions as per local instructions.

This is a safety critical role and you will be responsible for the dispatch and marshalling of trains. This role is shift based and will involve working a range of shifts from early, late and night shifts, therefore, you must be able to get to all shifts by your own means of transport. The role also involves some weekend working including Sunday turns that are outside of the standard 35hr working week.

What we are looking for

We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic individual who has excellent customer service skills and happy to work in a fast-paced environment. Uniform will be provided, and you must ensure that your standard of appearance complies with company standards.

Previous experience dispatching trains will be highly regarded.
