Job Title: Payroll Administrator

Reports to: Payroll Team Leader

Function: Finance

Location: Shared Service Centre 

Grade: Administrator

Key Accountabilities

·         Responsible for accurately inputting all our Operating Company’s Payroll related data into the Payroll system according to a strict timetable.

·         Deal with varying pay enquiries from staff within all Op Co’s as part of the payroll service provision for the Shared Service Centre.

·         Inputting high volume of data to the payroll system including overtime, expenses, commissions ensuring correct and timely processing of 4 weekly payroll.

·         Maintaining sickness/maternity and other absence payments whilst maintaining and monitoring records as necessary, keeping up to date in legislation to ensure the payroll is compliant with statutory changes.

·         Dealing with pension queries.

·         Responding to pay queries from both employees and 3rd parties by telephone and in writing.

·         Performing routine checks on payroll output.

·         Accurately maintaining all employee records.

·         Ensuring all Payroll Manuals/ Workflows are kept up to date

·        Train other Payroll Administrators when required.

Experience, Knowledge and Qualifications Required

 

A proven track record in a payroll post in a large, complex organisation
iTrent Payroll experience desired but not essential
Be able to work under pressure against tight deadlines
Experience in EXCEL spreadsheets preferable at intermediate level.
Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people both internally and externally to the business
