We have an exciting opportunity to join our Finance team as a Procurement Manager based at our Walworth depot, reporting to the Finance Director. The purpose of the role is to procure goods and services. The successful applicant will maximise supply chain value through a combination of prices, service levels and efficient procurement in conjunction with robust policies and procedures.

 

The Role:

  • Develop innovative sourcing strategies as necessary, ensuring maximum value and efficiency with service levels appropriate to business requirements.
  • Ensure procurement policies & procedures comply with internal and external requirements (including but not exclusively EU legislation and Anti-Slavery).
  • Review and adapt Procurement to Pay processes (in conjunction with finance), and moreover educate buyers and monitor compliance.
  • Maintain contract database and processes for Eprocurement.
  • Plan and monitor financial savings and supplier performance via dashboards.
  • Undertake cradle to grave contract negotiations, and manage key SLA supplier reviews.
  • Engage with stakeholders (including those responsible for physical stock) to maximise commercial opportunities and minimise financial / business risks (including Brexit and business continuity plans).

The Candidate:

  • Excellent communicator at all levels both written and verbal
  • Pragmatic self-starter with commercial background
  • Experience of regulatory matters (including setting up contracts)
  • Experience of supplier contract management
  • Understands Procurement to Pay process
  • Understands importance of contract database and governance
  • MCIPS qualified (desirable)
  • Experience of the European Transport Industry (desirable)
  • Experience of lease management (desirable)
