We have an exciting opportunity to join our Finance Team as a Finance Assistant based at our Walworth Depot. The successful applicant will report to the Financial Controller and play a vital role in supporting the payroll team.

 

The Role:

  • Cover for payroll manager (which requires detailed understanding of the payroll processes).
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations (including Apprenticeship Levy control, pensions (Royal London) control, stock provisions, other debtors & other creditors).
  • Responsible for intercompany accounts (both Income Statement and Balance Sheet), including agreeing monthly position.
  • Assist with preparation of monthly management accounts, including posting of journals as required.
  • Capital expenditure and disposals processes and reports, including maintenance of the asset register and capital expenditure tracker, validation of useful lives, verification of physical assets.
  • Manage ARR and Event Connect divisions to ensure accurate reporting of monthly results. This will include reviewing and improving the process, validation of transactional data, preparation of month end journals and month end analysis.
  • Prepare and post payroll journals including holiday pay calculations.
  • Work with the Finance Business Partners, FP&A team and wider business as required.
  • Undertake any other duties commensurate with the role. As part of personal development the role holder will gain practical experience in the Financial Planning and Analysis and Finance Business Partner teams.
