We have an exciting opportunity to join our Finance team as a Business Analyst based at our Walworth depot.  The successful applicant will report to the Financial Planning & Analysis Manager and play a vital role in supporting the business managers and Finance Business Partners to meet financial and operational targets by creating KPI and performance dashboards.  Moreover, the position will assist the business planning, forecasting and group reporting processes.

 

The Role:

  • Assist the FP&A Manager with the timely submission of quality internal and Group reports.
  • Produce KPI reports (including group period end slide and KPI board pack) and support processes to collate operational KPIs and commentary
  • Embed devolved accountability through weekly operational KPI reports
  • Implement stakeholder dashboards
  • Document KPI processes and models and propose improvements (including the potential for automation)
  • Develop route profitability model to support the Commercial team prepare tenders
  • Maintain the Potential Earnings Tracker for TfL Quality Incentive Contract bonuses
  • Prepare financial risks and opportunities and KPI out-turns as part of the quarterly forecast process
  • Support the FP&A Manager to work with the Finance Business Partners, Financial Control team and wider business to ensure a collaborative approach towards business planning, forecasting and Group reporting
  • Undertake any other duties commensurate with the role. As part of personal development, the role holder will gain practical experience in the Financial Control and Finance Business Partner teams

 

The Candidate:

  • Developing relationships with stakeholders is key
  • Ability to summarise key findings in a clear and simple manner and adapt to the needs of different users
  • Ability to report accurately and meet deadlines
  • Ability to analyse and interpret information with a strong understanding of key business drivers
  • Demonstrates a strong work ethic and maintains very high standards with high levels of attention to detail
  • IT literate with high level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or analysis/visualisation tools
  • Must be able to work with large volumes of data and interpret how it can impact the business
  • Desire to study towards completing accounting qualification
  • Enthusiastic team player with emotional intellect to develop effective networks and drive change
