Gateline Operator

We have an excellent opportunity within our Customer Service Team at Liverpool Street Station for Gateline Operators. You will be working at a busy London Terminus.

We have a total of

2x Gateline Operators (Relief) – Covering earlies/lates/nights

1x Gateline Operator (Static) – Covering earlies/lates

1x Gateline Operator (Static) – Covering nights only

Role and Accountability

We are looking for enthusiastic and hardworking individuals to provide our customers with excellent customer service, whilst ensuring that ticketless travel and fraud is reduced through pro-active monitoring of our Automatic Ticket Gates. In addition, you will be responsible for the safe operation of the gate line, fault reporting and keeping your work area clean and tidy. You will need to be customer focused, approachable and consistently looking to improve our customers’ journeys by understanding their individual needs. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in busy environments, working under the pressures of service disruption, and dealing with high volumes of passengers* 

Experience, knowledge and Qualifications Required

If you are professional, friendly and flexible, this could be the role for you. You will need to be a problem solver, and be able to think on your feet, as you will encounter many different situations on a daily basis. You will work as part of a team, creating strong working relationships with your colleagues, as well as creating a welcoming environment by interacting with our customers on a daily basis. You will have the willingness to accept the high level of responsibility associated with this role and the ability to work effectively.
