We are looking to recruit a Safety Business Partner within our Projects function to lead the safety management, development, planning and implementation of planned business changes in line with Common Safety Methods, legislation and Company procedures. You will manage each project from a safety perspective through significant change process to secure safety validation sign off on time and within budget.  With excellent communication and planning skills you will be self-motivated and able to work on your own initiative.

 In addition, you will bring with you the following skills and experience:

  • NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent as well as a recognised PPM qualification (MSP and PRINCE2)
  • Comprehensive understanding of occupational health and safety legislation including knowledge of occupational safety and health management systems particularly HSG65
  • Appreciation of government and key stakeholder health and safety agendas
  • Knowledge of Railway rules and regulations associated dispatch
  • Knowledge of safety and quality standards
  • Recognised technical or professional qualifications in Safety management
  • Previous experience in Rail operations role Programme and Change Management methodologies, techniques and tools
  • Experience of managing large-scale/complex enterprise-wide business transformation programmes
  • Significant experience of managing a large scale, multi-skilled project team
  • Ability to influence and manage senior stakeholders including Executive Teams
