We have an exciting opportunity to join our HR Department as an Internal Communications & Engagement Manager at our Walworth Depot. The successful applicant will report to the Head of HR and play a vital role in delivering communications to the business and working on our employee engagement initiatives.

 

The Role:

  • Creating and managing internal and external communication plans and campaigns.
  • Maintaining and developing new content that is in line with brand guidelines and delivered in a timely manner
  • Creation of quarterly Abellio magazine
  • Working cross functionally to promote different functions through blogs and news article
  • Keeping social media channels relevant and up to date and continually developing new content ideas
  • To actively manage ‘The Link’ staff intranet website
  • Creation of video content that is social media friendly
  • Exposure to working with a workforce where you can bring innovative ideas to reach all employees across multiple locations.
  • To successfully launch the Home Tech and Cycle 2 Work scheme once a year
  • Promoting and championing the company values, employee feedback and their impact on company culture
  • Promote and support online employee engagement surveys across the organisation.
  • Monitor employee engagement through employee surveys and design interventions that support teams across the business to meet engagement targets.
  • To undertake any other duties commensurate with the job role

 

The Candidate:

  • Excellent communications skills – both written and verbal
  • Experience of developing, implementing and evaluating insight-driven communications campaigns that meet objectives.
  • Experience of creating internal communication channels
  • Experience of employee engagement to help drive high satisfaction survey results
  • Experience of creating a social media strategy to drive engagement
  • Strong relationship management skills, effective at negotiating and influencing at a senior level.
  • Ability to work on own initiative, to remain calm under pressure, with excellent project management and organisational skills to meet tight deadlines and manage competing priorities.
