This is a fantastic time to join West Midlands Trains as we embark on your new franchise to improve our passenger’s journeys. We are looking to recruit a Delay Attribution Controller who will investigate and resolve delays in real time, managing data effectively, attributing delays to appropriate managers for resolution. You will be responsible for correct attribution and allocation of delay attributed to West Midlands Trains, including collaboratively working with Network rail.

In return we are looking for individuals with the following skills:

  • Knowledge of West Midlands Trains operations and geography
  • Understanding of rail industry
  • Knowledge of office software including Word, Excel, CCF, P2 and Outlook
  • Knowledge of train operations software such as Bugle is essential for the post but can be trained for new entrants
  • Computer literate
  • Customer focused
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Able to take in large amounts of information
  • Good communication skills
  • Methodical, analytical and persistent approach
  • Organised
  • West Midlands Trains Induction programme attendance
  • Training on any new software packages introduced to Performance team
