Stock Maintenance Controller

We have an exciting opportunity for a Stock Maintenance Controller to join the team at Romford ROC on a permanent basis.

Role and Accountability

In this role you will ensure trains are correctly allocated or unallocated, safely allocate all units to the most effective diagrams in alignment with the maintenance plan while optimising mileage and maintenance loads. You will build and maintain a schedule of stock deployment and ensure maintenance requirements of rolling stock are adhered to.

You will plan and control delivery of units for maintenance, cleaning and repair activities for all rolling stock fleets, developing and owning a rolling exam plan for all maintenance activities, including cleaning while ensuring depot output and rolling stock deployment meets the requirements specified by the train service plan and company Quality Management System.

You will be work closely with Operations Control Team, and Network Rail to provide timetable required unit availability, developing and implementing contingency plans during times of service disruption, events or non-availability of rolling stock. You will provide support to the engineering planning team to improve design and develop processes and plans.

Experience, Knowledge and Qualifications Required

You will have a strong Stick Maintenance background, ideally within a rail or transport setting. You will have strong ICT, interpersonal and communication skills.
