We are looking to recruit an Assistant Depot Manager to assist the Depot Manager in effectively managing Bletchley TMD and employees/contractors to deliver specific safety, operational and cleaning objectives.  

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Work to the instructions of the Depot Manager and under your own initiative, undertake any work as required subject to competence
  • Ensure that all appropriate procedures and work instructions are carried out in accordance with documented systems. Carry out all safety procedures in accordance with statutory and local requirements
  • Carry out Safety tours and ensure that any actions are closed in a timely manner
  • Complete any accident/incident forms as per the procedure and complete initial investigation
  • Maintain all competence of employees as required

  • Leadership experience or qualifications are essential, the post holder must be trained to level 3 as a minimum
  • An extensive knowledge and experience of railway operation and maintenance practices is essential
  • A good understanding of COSHH safety related instructions is essential
  • Must have an ability to communicate clearly and confidently with all levels of personnel both written and oral
  • Demonstrate ability to work on own initiative
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Must be trained in PTS as part of the role
