This is a fantastic time to join West Midlands Trains as we embark on your new franchise to improve our passenger’s journeys. As part of the wider Abellio Group, West Midlands Trains Ltd, operates as a joint venture - West Midlands Railway and London Northwestern Railway, delivering over 1,300 safe and reliable services per day for more than a 60 million passengers per year.  Since the start of our franchise in 2017 we have been committed to improving our services, investing a whopping £1 billion into the region’s network, £18million in the development of all our workforce.

We are looking to recruit a number of Project Managers to ensure the successful delivery of several allocated franchise projects to time, cost and quality in accordance with the West Midlands Trains governance and project lifecycle, whilst ensuring the project outcomes and benefits align with the business strategy and franchse agreement.

In return we are looking for individuals with the following skills:

• Experience of complex projects involving multi-disciplinary teams
• Experience of stakeholder engagement, and requisite interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders
• Strong appreciation of importance of customer experience
• Experience of producing clear and concise reports
• Successful track record of development and design in a Transportation (Rail orientated) environment within the context of a professional services provider
• Qualified in either: PRINCE2, APMP or PMIBOK (desirable)
• Good general knowledge of the Railway or similar transport industry
