An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented individual with train driver experience to join the Training Academy in Central Birmingham as a TrainOperations Trainer. Playing a key role in the ongoing development of our people you will be responsible for delivering and evaluating a range of operational training programmes for our train drivers and other retail and operational roles, including Core Rules, Personal Track Safety and both technical and non-technical skills.

Although having training experience would be an advantage it is not essential, however, as your main focus will be the delivery of core skills programmes, it is essential you have train driving experience and a good knowledge of traction and railway rules and regulations. You should share a keen interest in playing an active role in the development of others, be highly motivated, excellent communicator and able to work on your own intuitive or as part of a team in order to build positive and professional working relationships with trainees and key stakeholders.  Flexibility to travel is required as training delivery will be at various locations across our West Midland Trains network.
