Platform Supervisor

We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic individual to join the team at Bishops Stortford Station on a permanent basis as a Platform Supervisor.

Role and Accountability

The purpose of the role is to always provide a safe environment whilst delivering excellent customer service and seeking opportunities to enhance the customers experience at the station. You need to ensure that customers are extended a welcome to the station providing pro-active assistance and information to customers on and off trains and throughout the station.

You will be responsible for leading the Platform team and in all matters regarding safety, security and safe punctual dispatch of trains whilst working in accordance with the rule book and operational standards. Be responsible for maintaining security of the station premises at all times and carry out winter precautions as per the local instructions.

This is a safety critical role and you will be responsible for the safe dispatch of our Trains. This role includes a variety of shifts including late finishes and early starts.

Experience, Knowledge and Qualifications Required

You will have excellent customer service skills and be happy to work in a fast pace environment. You will be required to wear a full uniform, ensuring that your standard of appearance complies with company standards. A medical will be required upon a successful interview. Previous experience dispatching trains will be highly regarded.
