West Midlands Trains has an exciting opportunity for an Area Train Presentation Manager to join the Train Presentation Team based at our New Street depot in Birmingham.  This is a fantastic time to join West Midlands Trains. We operate services in and around the West Midlands, now called West Midlands Railway (WMR) and services from the North West to London, now called London Northwestern Railway (LNR).

Reporting to the Head of Train Presentation, this role is accountable for managing the standard of Train Presentation across the West Midlands Trains Fleet, ensuring as a minimum that the committed service quality regime requirements are met.

The role will lead and manage the cleaning staff resource deployed predominantly across the WMR estate and will deliver the standard of cleanliness and train environment demanded of our customers.  The role will also seek and identify opportunities to drive improvements to the train presentation activity using innovation and best practice.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

Significant experience of managing teams across multiple locations

Holds IOSH Managing Safely qualification or equivalent
Experience of managing Health & Safety within the workplace including manual handling, COSHH and risk assessments
Knowledge of Human Resources best practice
Knowledge of railway operations would be advantageous

This role includes the management of teams across multiple locations, working a variety of shifts including night working so some flexibility in hours is required.
