Information Security Manager (starting in September)

12 – 14 month fixed term contract (covering maternity leave)

We are looking to recruit an Information Security Manager covering maternity leave to embed the information security aspects of West Midlands Trains IT strategies.  Through working in partnership with colleagues at Abellio Group and managers throughout West Midlands Trains, you will identify and evaluate IT and data risks and support the development of effective practical solutions to resolve any issues as they arise.

With excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, you will provide advise and guidance to staff at all levels within the company regarding risk, control, compliance and governance.  Self-managed, you will have the ability to influence effectively with peers and the wider business and to partner to establish a course of action and deliver win-win outcomes and complete objectives

In return we are looking for an individual with the following skills:

• Experience of implementing ISO 27001 standards in a rapidly changing organisation
• ITIL certification or similar desirable
• Experience of managing and reporting on PCI DSS
• Experience of managing compliance with the Data Protection Act 1998
• IT security audit experience desirable
• Excellent analytical skills, together with an attention to detail
• Self-motivated and well organised
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills & ability to deal with individuals at all levels
