An exciting new opportunity has arisen for Performance Managers based in Battersea and Twickenham. The successful applicants will ensure that the Abellio London network of services is managed efficiently in order to exceed target criteria. They will be responsible for effectively managing the day to day operation of the iBus Control Centre and managing Abellio Route Controllers based in the ARC suite in Abellio London

 

The Role:

 

Able to use the available systems to monitor route performance and to use the available systems to recommend improvements, including :

  • Live iBus system
  • iBus generated reports
  • Support of the Schedules and Planning Team
  • Liaison with Roadside Controllers, Engineering  and depot management

Responsible for producing and reviewing the daily, weekly and other reports ensuring they are produced timely and accurately. Including collating information for submission to payroll.

Coordinate pacesetters meetings with operations and engineering departments.

Responsible for reviewing all the Officials Reports ensuring they are correctly completed and ensure where errors occur staff are trained to complete correctly.

Responsible for daily mileage and associated paperwork ensuring they are distributed to depots in a timely way.

A key part of this position will be to deliver effective training and coaching, identify and tend to ongoing training needs and monitor development of team members.

You will work closely with the Network Performance Manager in driving performance to achieve service delivery.

You will lead and develop programs to drive business change projects.

You will be responsible for increasing awareness and understanding of TfL contractual requirements. 

You will supervise and ensure service control practices and procedures are in line with current policies and procedures.  This includes compiling reports on service performance and undertaking any other duties commensurate with the grade.

Have a duty of care for the health and safety of yourself and your colleagues at all times, including a duty to report unsafe acts or omissions to safety.

To ensure cost effective staff utilisation, scheduling efficiency, holiday and overtime allocation and to maintain accurate personnel records.

 

The Candidate:

 

Must have thorough appreciation of the needs of external customers and external stakeholders, coupled with the ability to identify areas for improvement and implement effective action plans.

Able to communicate effectively with all levels of internal and external staff. Able to provide clear and concise feedback and guidance to promote staff confidence in decision making.

Skilled in strategic thinking and forward planning to avert problems before they occur and solve problems when they occur.

Must be experienced in managing and motivating a team to achieve high standards and meet deadlines, be performance focused with the ability to enthuse a team to achieve results.

Ability to analyse and interpret information

Strong IT skills.

Must have a flexible approach, and be prepared to work outside normal hours to meet deadlines.
