An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Controller in our Rail Replacement Team, based in Springburn, Glasgow. The successful applicant will assist in coordinating and managing the rail replacement activities for ScotRail.

The Role:

Based within Scotrail’s Control Room the Controller will arrange road transport at times when the train service is disrupted

Responsible for the quality of our customer-focused response

To provide efficient and effective administrative support

Work effectively with external suppliers and colleagues

Have a duty of care for the health and safety of yourself and your colleagues at all times, including a duty to report unsafe acts or omissions to safety

To undertake any other duties commensurate with the role.

The Candidate:

An individual who can develop effective working relations with suppliers and colleagues

Can handle high pressure situations in a calm and logical manner

It will be desirable if applicants can demonstrate previous experience administering logistics or passenger transport

The posts involve shift-working on a rota basis covering Early, Late and Night shift patterns
