Hybrid Area Relief

We have an excellent opportunity to join the customer service team in the Colchester area as a Hybrid Area relief staff member, providing train dispatch, ticket office duties and customer service. Covering the heart of Essex and the busy commuter mainline to London this role covers the major hubs of Colchester and Manningtree as well as our Clacton and Harwich branch lines.

Role and Accountability:

You will be meeting and greeting customers, selling tickets and answering their enquiries, so you will need to be customer service focused, friendly and approachable with the ability to work within a team. You will be compassionate when dealing with customers who have additional requirements when travelling with us. You will be working in a fast-paced operational environment as well dispatching our Intercity and commuter services, assisting customers with connecting trains and helping out when services get disrupted.

Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications Required:

You will have a high level of professionalism, positive attitude, and be pro-active, friendly and open when dealing with our customers. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills are crucial to this role. You will remain calm under pressure, show integrity, be flexible and adaptable to change.
