West Midlands Trains Engineering team are looking to recruit an Engineering Transition Manager to work from our Head Office in central Birmingham.

The successful candidate will be required to manage the transition of all new and fleet upgrade projects into the Engineering department. This will include all depot upgrade works and any depot work associated with the new Bombardier Aventra units.

The role will help ensure that business objective and franchise commitments/obligations are met whilst minimising the risk to the business. It is also a key interface between the Engineering, Transition & Projects, Procurement and Finance & Contracts directorates.

Our ideal candidate will have sound commercial contracts and financial awareness, be educated to degree standard and have good negotiation and influencing skills.
