We are now looking to recruit a Platform Team Leader to join our team at Watford Junction.

You be able to supervise the day to day activities of Platform assistants and Announcers at Watford Junction station, ensuring the safe and efficient train dispatch and to ensure all activities are carried out safely. Providing a high standard of customer service, including accurate and timely information provision, at the Station and assist in providing a clean, safe and presentable enviroment for all station customers.

 The role will include:

  • Leadership responsibility for all platform and customer service colleagues at Watford Junction
  • Monitioring and reviewing customer service standards to ensure service excellence is delivered at all times
  • Management of the team's safety standards and ensuring compliance with all aspects of the safety critical management system
  • Promoting a culture of high performance in the workplace and continuous improvement in individuals
  • Communicating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure service delivery at all times
  • To assist with platform duties on an ad hoc basis

Our ideal candidate will possess:

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Robust yet flexible people management skills
  • Previous experience of leadership and people management including performance management processes, defining and supporting learning and development needs, employee mentoring and station rostering
  • A flexible approach to the work environment including flexibility in tasks and hours.
  • Experience of working with internal and external stakeholders, delivering information and communicating to enhance the customer experience
