Since December 2017, West Midlands Trains has been proud to operate two railway brands for and to the Midlands, the North West and London.

Over the next nine years, we plan to deliver a host of key improvements across the network, investing nearly £1bn in service and timetables to make rail travel much easier. That’s a lot of investment!

Over 60 million passenger journeys a year are made using our trains and we manage 150 stations and operate over 1,300 services a day. That's a lot of customers! We’re looking for an Internal Communications Assistant to champion our digital evolution and work as part of our internal communications & engagement team for a fixed term contract until December 2018.  Reporting to the Internal Communications and Engagement Manger, you’ll deliver key activities, supporting our ‘people’ agenda and internal communications strategy.  This is an exciting opportunity to support a number of internal business initiatives and make a difference to colleagues across our business.

The ideal candidate will have strong internal communications experience, specifically in employee engagement.  You’ll have experience in successfully influencing and managing a range of stakeholders across the business, from our station staff to our MD.  We’re looking for an innovative and creative individual who is comfortable challenging the status quo.  Experience in Office 365 is essential as you’ll be a designated super user on our portal.
