Catering Storeman

An opportunity has arisen in our Catering Stores department for a storeman. This is an exciting period of change within the department as we move towards the introduction of a new fleet of trains from 2019.

Main Responsibilities:

This role is key to the successful delivery of our On-Board Catering service, you will be responsible for taking orders from On-Board Hosts, then picking and delivering the items to the train in a timely manner ready for the journey.

The shift patterns are varied over a 6-week roster and includes early starts and late finishes, weekend working - Sunday is worked on a rostered overtime basis.

What we are looking for:

You will be working in an environment where team work is essential, you will also have contact with suppliers and colleagues across the business so strong communication skills are required. You will need to be highly motivated with a positive and innovative approach to your work.

Knowledge of Food Hygiene, Health & Safety at Work and Warehouse or Stores experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided. You will need to pass a medical to a standard that allows you to operate machinery. This role is physically demanding so a good level of fitness is required. You will also need basic knowledge of IT systems including Word and Excel and have a willingness to learn new skills as the role evolves.
