An exciting role within the train crew resources team has become available. The role will be in the Roster team based at Colchester.

Main Duties:

You will be responsible for the production of efficient and economic weekly and daily rosters for staff resourced by the resources department (taking into account the guidelines on excessive hours & hidden). Arrange for the prompt and efficient alteration to rosters necessitated by leave, sickness, absence or any other reason. Maintain accurate and up to date records including Sundays, rest days and traction/route knowledge.
You will also be required to produce and implement annual leave roster for all the staff rostered as per current arrangements, investigate claims for payments and respond without unnecessary delay and complete reports as required. Liaise with managers and supervisors to monitor the progress of staff in training especially with regard to new entrants during their probationary period.

What we are looking for:

You will have an understanding of railway operating rules, procedures and arrangements. Highly organised, able to prioritise, inclusive, team orientated and forward thinking.
You will be working 5 days a week 7 hours per day however willing to work unsociable hours and adapt to business needs as required.
