Are you looking for a new challenge?
Here at Greater Anglia, we're embarking on the largest rolling stock investment the East of England has ever seen, with our entire fleet being replaced with new rolling stock from Stadler and Bombardier, faster journey times across our network and an entirely new timetable from May 2019 on all our routes to increase the number of seats for our customers.
To get ourselves ready for this huge change, we're expanding our Control management team based in the AICC in Romford. We're looking for motivated, professional, knowledgeable and enthusiastic individuals to lead our Control team as we look to improve our performance, how we deal with disruption, and how we communicate our decisions with customers and frontline staff. You'll be personally responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the GA train service, responding to incidents in real time and liaising with Network Rail to ensure our customers enjoy a smooth a journey as possible
You will be working early, late and night shifts 7 days a week.
We are looking for individuals with good general education and are IT literate, with experience in railway current operations. You should also have experience of managing teams and improving their performance, and experience of holding suppliers to account to ensure the highest level of service delivered.
You will have an eye for detail to deliver exceptionally high levels of customer service, and be well organised and able to prioritise workloads, and able to remain calm under pressure.
To succeed in this role, we are looking for people who can bring our four behaviours to life in your everyday work:
· Genuine … be welcoming, customer-centric and respectful
· Professional… be solution-oriented, accountable and delivering to promises
· Proactive … be progressive, innovative and decisive
· Inclusive … be connected in your thinking, empathetic and promote diversity
