An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Schedules Officer based at our Twickenham Depot. The successful candidate will work to create, maintain and update efficient, robust and cost effective bus and crew duty schedules for all company services in line with contractual requirements and in preparation for the submission of tenders to TfL or other authority.

Key accountabilities:

  • To produce efficient, practical and cost effective crew duties and rotas that are compliant with driver hour’s regulations and local agreements.
  • To manage, maintain and update as required details of scheduled mileage, ferry bus operations and other operational records.
  • To partake and / or organise bus service surveys and review ibus data with the aim of providing information to assist the tendering process whilst also providing data to aid the scheduling of the bus network.
  • To produce & manage effective rail replacement work giving due consideration to running times and stand times by time of day, vehicle requirements, mileage, driver resources and other relevant factors.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Excellent understanding of the road passenger transport sector, including all relevant legal and external regulations and requirements for the operation of passenger carrying vehicles.
  • Excellent understanding of Domestic and European scheduling standards and all legal requirements.
  • A working knowledge of the commercial environment, including use of mapping software, NaPTaN codes and registration requirements, ideally with experience in the use of EBSR.
  • Experience of working in a commercial role in both the deregulated National and the regulated London Bus Market, combined with an in-depth knowledge of the workings of Transport for London.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel required.
