Crown Point Depot have an exciting role available and require a Materials Manager. This is a Senior Manager's role and the purpose of the job is to control and purchase all of the Depot's material requirements, manage the effects of daily changes in line with Production requirements, manage the process and planned supply of materials to the requirements of the Depot Management and to manage the Stores personnel.

The preferred candidate will be required to manage a stock head count in excess of 10,000 items, with a value in excess of £1.4m.

The successful candidate will need a sound knowledge of material supply principles, procedures and practices, an understanding of Maintenance and Maintenance practices, a basic understanding of traction and rolling stock, especially in the use and requirements for materials and parts, I.T. skills, a knowledge of report writing and statisitcal analysis and personnel management skills with a proven leadership ability.
