The Human Resources team are recruiting for a Driver Trainer to predominantly work out of Abellio London and Surrey’s South depots (Battersea, Walworth and Beddington), with requirement to work at other locations as required. The role will involve classroom training including the delivery of CPC training, driver inductions, City & Guilds training along with driving instructing responsibilities. You will work alongside the recruitment team to facilitate driver recruitment assessment days, undertake corrective training with existing drivers, refresher training with candidates in our potential new driver pool and spend time instructing drivers who have recently acquired their PCV licence.

This role will contribute to the success of Abellio London and Surrey by ensuring we have top quality, safe drivers joining our business and for existing drivers a focus on continued learning.

The successful candidate will need to have:

• Excellent knowledge about vehicle checks

• A minimum of three full years bus driving experience

• A full & clean driving licence – no points

• A clean record for driving standards – i.e. no avoidable collisions, poor driving assessments or complaints about driving for 2 full years

• Good standard of computer literacy in MS Office packages
