A fantastic opportunity is now available to join our Payroll Team at Solvd. based in the centre of Glasgow.

The Role 

Working within our busy payroll department servicing over 13,000 employees per month across multiple companies, the successful candidate will provide and maintain a day-to-day payroll support function and act as the first point of contact for all payroll queries. 

This is the perfect opportunity for a professional individual who has prior payroll experience and is looking to enhance their knowledge and skillset within a fast-paced expanding organisation or for a motivated and competent individual who is looking to start their career in payroll.  

The role will involve: 

  • Responding to a variety of customer queries within SLAs via phone and email. 
  • Preparation, processing and administration of high-volume payroll data.  
  • Complying with contractual and statutory obligations including new starters, leavers, transfers, pensions, court orders and statutory payments. 
  • Performing routine checks on payroll output to maintain accuracy.  

You should have: 

  • Experience of payroll administration is desired but not essential. 
  • Problem solving skills (calculations, numeracy, analytical). 
  • Proficient use of Microsoft packages in particular Excel (spreadsheets). 
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
  • Ability to work under pressure against tight deadlines and competing priorities. 

What you will get 

  • £25,000 to £28,500 per annum depending on experience. 
  • Excellent training and development including the opportunity to work towards your CIPP qualification.  
  • Permanent Role. 
  • 37.5 hours per week.  
  • Hybrid working, 40% of your working week at home, 60% in our Glasgow office.
